Manager - Logistics
Ben Pollard is the Manager, Supply & Delivery for Sikorsky Aircraft Australia Limited, trading as Sikorsky Australia, a subsidiary of Sikorsky (A Lockheed Martin Company). Ben has held this role since 2016 and is responsible for all activities relating to Logistics, Procurement and Warehousing. Prior to Ben joining Sikorsky Australia he was engaged in a variety of roles in his 20+ years’ within the aerospace industry.
Ben entered the industry in 1997 and had held various roles within sales and supply chain before joining The Safran Group in 2006 as the Logistics Manager for Turbomeca, a helicopter engine MRO based in Bankstown, NSW. Ben departed Turbomeca as the Head of Continuous Improvement & Industrial Services where he was responsible for the companies risk profiling, Continuous Improvement activities, Facilities and Supply Chain.
Upon leaving Turbomeca, Ben joined the Qantas Group as the Manager, Supply Chain for Jetstar Airways and oversaw the Supply Chain functions for Jetstar and 2 subsidiary airlines based in Japan and Singapore. He finished up at Jetstar as the SEQ Line Maintenance Manager where he was leading a team of 40+ line maintenance engineers over 2 locations to ensure delivery of serviceable aircraft to its end customer.
Ben is currently undertaking his Masters degree in Supply & Logistics at RMIT and has a Black Belt in 6 sigma (a disciplined data driven approach and methodology for eliminating defects in processes). Ben resides on the Gold Coast with his wife and 2 young children.
