Andrew Rushbrook

Andrew was appointed as Managing Director of Sikorsky Aircraft Australia Ltd – A Lockheed Martin Company in March 2017 and is responsible for supporting Sikorsky and other rotary wing aircraft, both military and civilian, throughout the Asia Pacific region. Prior to joining, Andrew was engaged in a variety of senior executive and military roles over the past thirty years.

Andrew joined the Royal Australian Navy in 1986 as a Bridge Watchkeeping Officer and specialised into aviation in 1989 having completed the RAN Navigator’s Course. The majority of Andrew’s military flight time was spent as a Tactical Coordinator on the Sikorsky S-70B-2 Seahawk where he served in a variety of sea going and shore roles including the Commanding Officer of 816 Squadron. During this period Andrew was engaged in a number of operational tours of duty and was awarded a Commendation for Distinguished Service in the Australian Honours’ List for distinguished leadership in a warlike operation. Another highlight of his career was serving as the naval aide-de-camp to His Excellency the Governor General.  

On leaving the Navy in 2006, Andrew served as both Manager, National Operations and Executive General Manager within Airservices Australia, a large Government Corporation. Andrew was responsible for over 730 staff in 21 locations across every state and territory in Australia and served within the CEO’s senior executive committee and senior leadership team during that tenure. In 2014 Andrew joined Jacobs Australia Pty Ltd as the Executive Director Operations and in this role Andrew was responsible for the effective and efficient operation of over 270 engineering, logistics and administration consultants across a number of industries including Defence, Australian Border Force and Telstra.

Andrew has a Master of Defence Studies from the University of New England and an Executive Master of Business Administration from the Australian Graduate School of Management. He is a graduate of the Australian Command and Staff College.
